Mutts Transport Service, doing business as Tails of Rescue in Kahoots, is a volunteer-run, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. We are powered entirely by volunteers—there are no paid staff—so every dollar we earn or receive directly supports our mission.

Why We Exist

Our goal is to save the lives of dogs who are most at risk in shelters, including those with medical needs or facing euthanasia due to overcrowding. As a limited-intake rescue, we carefully select the animals we have the space, time, and resources to care for responsibly.

Foster-Based Care

All of our dogs are placed in loving foster homes, not kennels. They regularly visit our store for socialization and adoption meet-and-greets. This approach helps them transition more smoothly into their forever homes and gives adopters a chance to see them in a friendly, relaxed environment.
